We are looking for a Data Engineer to help shape the future of our product.In this remote-first position, you will be responsible for our data pipeline, processing millions of entries per Minute to ensure most recent data on our marketplace platform. You’ll work in a highly collaborative environment built on trust, curiosity and passion in diverse and well-structured agile teams with colleagues from all over Germany and Freelancing Experts worldwide.

Your field of activity and area of responsibility
  • As part of an international team (project language English) you will work on data supply chain importing data  (structured and unstructured), preparing them and creating data records with a strong focus on timelines, stability, integrity and performance initiatives
  • You are responsible for the data architecture, quality assurance and constant improvement
  • Continuous releases (as often as possible) allow us to quickly share your improvements and contributions with our users
  • When faced with a complex problem you are able to coordinate efforts so that the team can find the best possible path to a solution and you will coach less experienced members of our team
  • You will be involved in the development process from concept to delivery and give constructive feedback at all key milestones during Pair Programming and Reviews Sessions
  • You will actively take part in our planning process for new tasks, defining requirements, estimating the working timeload and setting up deadlines
  • You will evaluate eCommerce & Data Service trends in software development, provide important pulses and significantly shape the further development in alignment with our CTO
Your qualifications for the position
  • At least 4+ years of professional experience of implementing and aggregating information, as well as maintaining data pipelines and data services.
  • Previous experience in data engineering projects with eCommerce or automotive aftermarket focus 
  • Expert knowledge in Python development 
  • Very good knowledge of databases and application development as well as the ability to explain and present complex technical and organizational contexts in an accessible and understandable way
  • Knowledge of: Advanced (Postgres) SQL Patterns; Apache Airflow, Pandas, BigQuery, Google Cloud, Terraform, Typescript would be. would be a plus
  • Proficiency in English, German is a plus
